My husband loves, loves, loves the pre-workout bar in Cinnamon Raisin Flax. The bar is divided up into 4 individual sections, so you can determine how much you want to take depending on the intensity of your workout. My husband only took 2, and his workout is pretty intense. He said it gave him a lot of energy, and even a buzz while he was working out. His workout partner was wondering how much caffeine he had, when in fact he had none! The bar seems to be made out of all natural energizing ingredients. It comes in two additional flavors, Cranberry Pistachio, and Banana Nut Chocolate. I will stick with the Cinnamon Raisin Flax for now because I know he likes it.
As for the hydration drink, hubby said, although it keeps him hydrated, he really doesn't enjoy the taste of the Mango Passion fruit hydration drink. He says he'd rather drink water. However, since the first day he tried the series he felt great during and after his workout, he will drink it as long as we have it on hand. The 18 oz. bottle contains servings, so it's good for 2 workouts. It comes in a water type bottle with a squirt top that can be closed and saved in the refrigerator. There are also two additional flavors of the water, Acai Blueberry and Melon Pair. My Wags only had the Mango Passion fruit in stock.
According to hubby, he did not really like the recovery protein shake. He downed it because he wanted to try it, but he was not crazy about the taste. However, he felt obligated to drink it all because you cannot close the container. It only contains one serving, so it's meant to be drank in its entirety. It is a recovery shake so it's meant to help the muscles heal better after a workout, but compared to other protein shakes, it is not very high in protein content. My husband tried the mixed berry flavor. There are two additional flavors, Strawberry Banana and Mango Pineapple.
